If this option is not your preference, there are a few alternatives for transportation.
Among these options:
Just like at any other airport, there are taxis waiting to take you to your destination. They will activate their taximeters and charge you accordingly based on your destination. Make sure the meter is running when you get in the taxi. This option may cost you around 30-40 Euros on average to the city center.
Another method is:
Private buses that go to the city centers. These buses have standard prices, and the fare is around 3 Euros on average. They are scheduled to depart every half an hour. With these buses, you may need to get off at certain centers and, if necessary, take a taxi again. You can seek assistance from the bus attendant regarding this matter.
Another option is the municipal buses that provide inner-city transportation; their fares are around 1 Euro on average, and they can take you to your desired destination.
Unfortunately, at the moment, there are no metro transfers from the airports to the city center. We hope that in the second half of the year 2023, transportation will be provided to Sabiha Gökçen Airport.
